You gotta LOVE all of the experts and pundits who are pretty much crowning the Astros to win their second World Series in three years in what appears will be a rematch of 2017. It was the “feel good” series for Houston, which had just suffered through one of the worst, if not THE worst hurricanes in Texas history. Almost like a “reward” for coming out of the devastation. Verlander did not record a win in either of the two games he started. Greinke - we know what he has and it doesn’t seem to me that he ever really dominated LA after jumping ship to the Snakes. Their number three (who I don’t even know his name) is going to have to match up against either Kersh or Ferris - again, it would be the icing on the cake to see Clayton finally get that postseason monkey off his back.
I have no idea who their number four would be; but I love the choices LA is going to have at that point. Hill should be healed; we have Strip and / or Urias that could start; May will get some postseason consideration if he throws as expected. Our offense leads the league in most categories and both bullpens are pretty much on an even keel, with flashes of brilliance and complete meltdowns on any given day. I gotta say I like our chances and my flying ball tattoo gets a re-inking come November. GO DODGERS!!!
Greinke is their number 3. Cole is #2 and has been on fire.
Whatever, we can beat them either way.
The 'stros have the best trio of starters since we had Fernando, Orel Hershiser, Jerry Reuss and Bob Welch (what a quartet!). They'll be tuff for sure. We knocked Greinke out of the box early on opening day. But you never know in a short series, and some players just can't cut it in the playoffs (notably Kershaw), so we don't know if they'll even make it past the wild card team. I'm less worried about the Yanks. They've been ravaged with injuries and it's finally starting to catch up to them. They've scored one run in two games against the Rays. Their starting pitching overall is good at best. Sabathia is overrated IHMO. They caught us in a slump with they hammered out pitching with 10 bombs in 3 games. They'll play the Twins in the first round and they have very comparable pitching. It'll be the most interesting series in the entire playoffs. And for that matter, we'll be facing either the Brewers, Nats or Cardinals in the first round.

Brewers probably my choice without Yelich but they are hot. Starting pitching not great, the closer is though. Nats can be trouble with their lineup and starting pitching. Bullpen is awful. Cards good starters, good pen. Let them play the Braves first.
