And now yet another.200 hitting utility player from Seattle. Kristopher Negron. Woo hoo!!! Get the WS parade floats ready.
Seriously - just what in the hell was the point in acquiring either of these two guys? We’ve got a glut of position players and need bullpen help more than anything.
I doubt either one would or could be used as part of a package for a front line pitcher. And Lord knows we have plenty of .200 batting IF / OF’s already on the roster.
It’s moves like these that simply boggle the mind.

Roberts was quoted as saying promotion of Lux was very unlikely, before anyone had a chance to ask him, which I find interesting.
Not surprising, he's not going to come up to sit the bench and play once a week. Corey will play virtually every day, don't need a backup short stop right now.

Just insurance, not really a big deal. These guys have been very good over the years at making additions at the deadline, I would expect the same this year as well.

Dodgers acquiring Negron seems to have addressed the need for a defensive backup. A light hitting utility player.

Dodgers' Tyler White: Out for season Rotowire 24M ago Manager Dave Roberts said that White (upper body) won't be activated off the 10-day injured list this season, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports. White went down with the right trapezius strain in mid-August after scuffling through his first 12 games after being acquired by the Dodgers. He was 1-for-22 with two RBI and four walks after coming over from Houston on July 25. |

He was 1-for-22 with two RBI and four walks after coming over from Houston on July 25. I’m guessing this strain was due to the heavy lifting of multiple plates and servings at the Golden Corral. And doubting seriously any of those plates contained items from the salad bar. GO DODGERS!!! |
