Shozbot! I don't get ESPN/national broadcasts. Cut my cable cord 7 years ago. The Dodgers best game so far, and I had to "watch it" on Gameday, and listen to the radio broadcast. Those two get way out of sync, making that even more frustrating.
It's almost like watching most of the games living in dead zones in LA.

It really s*cks, but if that's the best you can get, along with Gameday & radio... well I suppose it's like drinking from the urine bottle in Death Valley. It'll keep you going for one more day. Care to take a crack at my 5-year-old hero avatar's identity? I wouldn't expect anyone here to know the horse's name, or how he got it. When I was five, I was still about 3 or 4 years short of ever seeing a TV. Even when I did first see a TV, it was just a 7" screen encased in a 3/4 size refrigerator sized wooden cabinet. My first macho childhood hero was a radio character, just as was my my favorite radio sports team. At the time, I think Duke Snider surpassed the 1950 cowboy hero in my mind. Sometime between age 5 & 8, I realized that the fictional radio character wasn't real, and Duke Snider was. Kids can be so fickle with their heros!

On the Nicklaus issue, Jack was my golfing hero. In my early 20's, I watched everything I could during the majors, and tried to emulate Jack's swings. I read his books, but beyond that, just marveled at how poised an unflappable he was under pressure. Sudden Death playoffs - he was like a machine out there - perfect shot after perfect shot. Jack was unflappable in tense situations. The best I've ever seen.

Well, Day 2 tv-link didn't work at all, the day after it worked perfectly, as good as reg. TV. I've used probably 2 years and it's worked great. Try it again my suggestion. I'm guessing Hoppie (gateway/father to the "hippies"-lol) Hopalong Cassidy. Am I right??? It's the hat, watched him some some 50+ years ago. OY. I liked Zorro alot!!! Sargeant Garcia lolol. Duke was my first sports hero. edit - I see another in the queue. Jack!!! I'll respond post haste.

Jack was unflappable in tense situations. The best I've ever seen. Jack absolutely is my hero, still #1. I've been following and playing golf since late '60's, played in high school and college. Loved it so much I gave up baseball, both spring sports. I was good in baseball, bat and a gun. Regret it? Some, but I love golf, and Jack was the man. Until Tiger!!! His winning the Masters by 12 at such a young age, made me go, "WOW!!!!". Then he held all four majors championships at once, never done by anyone else. He was on his way to undoubtedly in my mind the clear "best player ever", and then it all blew up. He's lost 10 prime years since then, but he's only 41, he can still do it. I followed Jack as close as I follow Tiger, and in my mind, all factors considered.................Tiger is better. And I really kinda hate saying it. Tiger is not though my hero, a poor role model, but he's showing signs of redeeming himself, and he's not an ah anymore I think. The Masters!!!!
