I'll open with Prince Fielder. I was in favor of getting that guy too. Thank God the Dodgers are smarter than me.
Albert Pujols has to qualify.

How about Chris Davis? Has to be up there.
He hit .168 last year, in the middle of 7 years for $161 million.

I really don't know who the winner of this contract is, but Bobby Bonilla will get $1.6 million per year from the Mets until 2034. He hasn't played since 2001.

And it’s not Bonilla. Simple economics. And he doesn’t get 1.6 million a year through 2034, thats simply not true.

And it’s not Bonilla. Simple economics. And he doesn’t get 1.6 million a year through 2034, thats simply not true. Sorry, $1.19 million through 2035. Jun 30, 2018 Darren Rovell ESPN Senior Writer Facebook Twitter Facebook Messenger Pinterest Email print [Updated July 1, 2018.] Today, the New York Mets will pay Bobby Bonilla another installment of $1,193,248.20. Every July 1, from 2011 to 2035, the Mets make the payment as part of deferring the $5.9 million the Mets owed him from the 2000 season, a year in which he didn't play for the team, because they released him in January. As noted last year, Bonilla's agent worked out a deal that deferred payment (with an 8 percent annual interest rate). With eight payments now in, Bonilla has now collected $9,545,986.60. There are 18 more payments due to Bonilla through 2035. When all the payments are made, Bonilla will have turned that $5.9 million into $29.8 million. Bob Nightengale USA Today Dennis Gilbert woke up Sunday morning at his Beverly Hills home, listened to the congratulatory message, and laughed. Yes, he remembered the significance of this day. How could he ever forget July 1? It’s Bobby Bonilla Day. It’s the day that Bonilla will be paid $1.193 million by the New York Mets. Well, $1,193,248.20 to be exact. Yes, to the 55-year-old man who hasn’t played a game since 2001. To a man who will be paid almost as much as the $1.227 million the Yankees are paying to their best player and best pitcher - Aaron Judge and Luis Severino. To a man that will be paid most likely after Judge and Severino have retired, with payments due through 2035. SPORTSBASEBALLMETS Bobby Bonilla Day explained By Newsday.com Updated July 1, 2018 4:55 PM PRINT SHARE Bobby Bonilla gets paid more money from the Mets than more than half of this year's actual Mets players do in salary, and he hasn't played for them since 1999. Here's the how and why about "Bobby Bonilla Day" when the Mets pay him $1,193,248.20 every July 1 until 2035.

I don’t know what their contracts were, but simply based on their performances as Dodgers, Eric Davis, David Justice & Darryl Strawberry have to be right up there.
But maybe these three should be in the “Biggest Dodger Busts” thread, if there is one and not already included.
GO DODGERS!!!

Here's one. www.baseball-reference.com/players/z/zitoba01.shtmlHe had already lost a lot of speed by the time the Giants signed him. I think he got seven years & something like $126,000,000. Giants fans liked to point (in embarrassment) at Barry pitching a couple good games in the 2012 postseason. What they didn't like to be reminded of was him being left off the postseason roster in 2010. Overall, Zito had a 63-80 won / loss record, 4.62 ERA & 1.44 WHIP for Frisco. Just recently Yu Darvish got a very similar contract. Barry was ahead of his time.

The Angels have had a few terrible ones the last decade. Hamilton, Pujols, Gary Mathews Jr. are up there among the worst ever.

That really puts things into perspective. 4 guys get monster deals yet players think there is collusion? The only guy IMO worth it are Trout. He is this generation's best player, is on a totally different level than the other 3 and is young enough to give a decent return on that contract.

Frank McCourt paid $431,000,000 for the Dodgers, Dodger Stadium, their Vero Beach facility & that academy they had in the Dominican Republic. He still owns half the parking lot.
