More specifically, it's our pitching that just keeps producing. You mentioned Tony Gonsolin above and with those three pitches rated 60+, he can fill in the rotation if need be. However, he's only got 44 innings at AA so he needs more seasoning. He'll probably be MLB ready by the all star break if he keeps progressing at the rate he has. DJ Peters is another one who's impressed me. He's worked on his swing to cut down on his Ks and at least in the spring, he's done just that, with only 6 Ks in 22 PAs. that's still kind of a lot, but it's tolerable. He's been compared to Aaron Judge and that's quite a complement! However, with our projected OF of Verdugo/Pollock/Bellinger, there seems to be no room for him. A little more seasoning and he could be good to trade to a team where he could contribute. Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Catches eye of skipper Rotowire Mar 14, 2019 Gonsolin could help the Dodgers in the big leagues this season, per manager Dave Roberts, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports. This was obvious without Roberts saying anything, but it is nice to see the hard-throwing righty made a positive impression in camp. Given the Dodgers' rotation depth, Gonsolin would likely break in as a reliever, where he could be dominant. He will still be developed as a starter long term.

Gonsolin has been looking really good as of late.

How about Dustin May!!! His pitches really move, don't they? He did serve up that RBI single to Hammels though, a hanger. But I can see the reason he's ranked 3rd!

Dodgers' Keibert Ruiz: Back at Double-A
Rotowire 2H ago
Ruiz is opening the year back with Double-A Tulsa, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.
This comes as a bit of a surprise, as Ruiz was a league-average hitter over a full season at Double-A last year, so many expected him to jump up to Triple-A. That promotion should come after a month or two back in the Texas League. Ruiz is advanced enough that it would not be surprising for him put up really impressive numbers in a repeat tour as one of the youngest players on this circuit.

Since he's our #1 prospect right now and on the 40 man roster, it seems reasonable. However, what about Will Smith? Either he and Ruiz trade places or he's trade bait. If we need any player, it's one to replace Yimi Garcia. I don't know why he's even on the roster. He makes me nervous every time he takes the mound, like last nite!

It's very early & the Dodgers would be wise to hold on to everyone right now (except Garcia). Martin is old & might flop or get hurt. We don't know if Barnes can maintain anything close to this. I think their attitude has been Ruiz has the higher ceiling. Smith is closer to the show RIGHT NOW.

Good news. I wonder if it will just be for a cup of coffee before Kershaw returns, or if he does well, they cut one of those arsonists out there.

Just noticed Gray only allowed 3 homers in those 130.0 innings. Very impressive.
