The whole thing was bizarre. It took them over a half hour to decide to discontinue the game... Did you notice any new nets behind the dugout? It looked to me like people were still able to lean on / over and look down into the the third baseline (home) dugout. It did appear there was some kind of new nets, but they looked to be closer to or on the field level, rather than behind the dugout. I could see what appeared to be “holding” wires or cables there, but little else. Just wondering if you or anyone else noticed any difference from last season as it was my understanding they were mandated by MLB to be in place this year.

Why didn't they just throw some cones out there and make the muddy part "out of play". I didn't really think it was necessary to cancel the game. Nothing was actually affecting the field of play, just some foul territory. What are you talking about? There was sewage on the field and Also flowing into the stands. there is no way they could continue that game.

Lol, it was ridiculous that it even took them a half hour to call it.

I didn't notice the nets but I wasn't looking for them. They weren't in the area of the sewage leak as that area was past the dugout. If I remember I will look for them tonight.
