roberts again managing poorly, after second walk it was a must visit to the mound This is something that I have an issue with. I go back to Game 1 of the 2014 NLDS against St. Louis. He was melting down and no one came to talk to him, including Honeycutt. It seems that if the pitchers get into trouble, it's up to them to fix it themselves. I don't understand that thinking. Part of the pitching coach's job is to help settle his pitcher down. |

Keep in mind, Kershaw starts slow. In 2015, for example, on April 28 he had an ERA of 3.73. He ended the year at 2.13. in April of 2016 and 2017 he was 6-2 ERAs of 2.43 and 2.29 Yeah, and this year its 2.84. 2011 it was 3.52 on April 26 2012 was a good early year, 1.78 2013 was also good, but 14 was 3.57 after 6 starts at the end of May. He still ended up with a 1.77 ERA. Point being, these early games mean nothing and don't indicate Kershaw is going to have a bad year |

The walks and homeruns are a bit disconcerting to me though.....could be an interesting opt out year. |
