Why Kid, you changed! LOL I just may have Taco's now with lunch coming up, hmm.. but then there's or, seafood... mahi, mahi with white wine nah, I'll save that for tonight celebrating another tax season done. ChilliDog or maybe just Pizza oh, these damn decisions! You in the tax biz? I dabble in it myself, have for 30+ years, though not like I used to. Just play a little with it now. Mexican always sounds good, but I'm feeling like barbequed NY steak, corn on the cob, salad & Dodger baseball this evening, summertime approaching. Bon appetit!!

Yep...CMA, CPA with one of my degrees being in accounting, when I wanted to please the family and have a real job (say look ma, I'm a business person..lol), and I help the people I know, I just wish they would come at last min...But, yeah I did it for nearly 3 years and built two financial and computer network systems, in that time then company was bought out and I didn't want to go to Falls Church, VA ... so, I left and went back to doing gigs, I was watching the game, half and half, last night. A Corn on the cobb Good Ole' flame seared BBQ Home Style, works too as this is where I missed my Dad ...however, with all that positioning, I just ordered Chinese and thank God for delievery.. cause I'm really lazy...LOL

Couple of excellent burger joints here in Cin City include Terry’s Turf Club (featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives) where they will pretty much put ANYTHING on your burger that they have access to. Lobster or crab? No problem. Last time we went I had a grilled portobello mushroom cap that was the same size as my burger & bun. Every possible cheese you can think of. Good fresh cut fries, too.
Zip’s Cafe in Mt. Lookout Square is another fave but be warned - one burger and fries might not be enough - I usually get two of each. Nothing fancy.
City View Tavern in Mt. Adams is another goodie.
We’ve covered burgers, steaks, seafood & pizza (seperate thread) - how about fried chicken?
Used to have a place called Pudgie’s (franchise out of the northeast) & it later changed its name to Boog’s (it was owned by former Bengal Glen Bujnoch) - did theirs skinless - EXCELLENT!!! But they went out of business a few years ago.
Broadway Bowl in Vegas has some pretty tasty chickey. And there’s a place in Norfolk, Virginia (Doumars) that we saw on D D & D that we had to make a trip over from VA Beach to try. We were NOT disappointed. No seating & not exactly in one of your nicer areas of town, but friendliest people and some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had!
GO DODGERS!!!

Hey JR....
I figured that pizza is such a big category that my deserve it own thread, but I was trying to create sub thread to the first one, have them grouped together but I failed on all counts. If anyone know how to create a Sub thread from a created thread, please let me know, or a Universal thread that all can access and edit and add.
All of your suggestions sound good and intriguing:)
I'm all about surf and turf, its a good way to keep one's options open if you know what I mean; Carb and crab leg, Lobster, Clams Casio, shrimp cocktail all with a Ribeye steak and BBQ ribs served under the same roof sound fine to me "Gladstones" if you like water front view in or out door off the Pacific Coast Highway..
Fried Chicken, my mom's favorite food which I just brought some home for her from "Jim Dandy's Fried Chicken" house is delicious I wish it closer by me. Funny you mentioned "Broadway Bowl" and we have bowling alley that been around forever called "Highland Park Bowl" and they serve Gourmet Pizza, and drinks but you better make reservations, especially on the weekend night
Drive in's it has been awhile but "Mels Drive in" comes to mind and they are opening up a new one in Santa Monica on the site of the old "Penguin" coffee house when I was younger would go there or to "Ben Franks" for breakfast which is also Mels' Drivin!!

LOVE just about everything from the sea. We’re down in Aruba right now & I had shrimp, lobster, scallops and clam (first time on clam!) over rice with a garlic butter sauce - best meal so far, but the jerk chicken I had last night is running a close second. Pizza DOES deserve its own category - SO many varieties and styles. I just thought of a couple other places so I might pop over to that thread. Going to the steakhouse here at the hotel later in the week. Dry aged slabs of beef in their window - I’m salivating already! GO DODGERS!!!

Had to add this one as I think I might have found the BEST STEAK IN THE FREAKIN WORLD!!!
L.G. Smith’s Steak & Chophouse - Renaissance Marina Hotel - Aruba
Went there Thursday night of last week and it was incredible! They actually bring the age slab to your table (or the bar, where I was sitting) and cut it to size. Of course, I went for my favorite (the strip) which weighed in at 20.4 oz ($3.50 an oz, so yeah - this was a $70+ steak).
Cooked medium to perfection and then topped with one of four sea salts (I went with the pink at the recommendation of my bartender / waiter). Side was steak fries with truffles.
A better meal I truly cannot remember!
GO DODGERS!!!

Sounds diabolically delectable, as you have an atmosphere of an exotic Aruba, complemented by a side of beef that is prepared (w/truffles) to perfection. OH...Why can't we live in "Star Trek" times, where one could just beam to any place in the world in less than 10 seconds and then beam back home - "Scotty, 3 to beam up" I simply need a "Transporter"

That would be SWEET. As much as we love Maui (been there twice & considering retiring there), it’s a pain in the ass to get there from Cincy. Basically, an entire day on a plane.
Aruba is a short 5 hours - left @ 8 am, landed around oneish; and we had 2 connect via DC. Be even shorter if they ever do non-stop out of here.
Good food EVERYWHERE down there. From Cuban to Caribbean to Italian. Live entertainment just about every place we went. Steel drums to a young lady basically singing via karaoke, but one of the best and most versatile voices I’ve heard in years.
Stuck $10 in her jar, which as a VERY critical musician myself I very seldom do. She was pretty much flawless.
Balashi Beer is the Island favourite and brewed there. Since it is a Dutch colony, the beer is VERY similar to Heineken. Pretty much the only thing I drank there.
But it’s not cheap - in fact, they don’t sell the traditional six / twelve packs or cases - it’s by the bottle & most are $2.50 for 7 ounces. A six pack ran us $15! Crazy!
GO DODGERS!!!
